AJ Gallagher engaged our studio to reimagine their Hamilton workplace into a contemporary environment that better reflects their brand, people, and purpose. The existing office had become dated and disconnected, unable to capture the energy, innovation and professionalism that define the AJ Gallagher culture. Our challenge was to increase capacity, improve collaboration, and create a flexible, engaging space that elevated both staff experience and client interactions. The original cubicle layout restricted visibility and teamwork, with limited meeting options and underused river views.

Through a complete reconfiguration, we transformed the space into a connected, open-plan workplace that balances focus, collaboration, and social energy. Meeting, training, and client areas were positioned to make the most of the site’s stunning river outlook, while informal zones were designed to encourage spontaneous conversation and team connection. Drawing from the established Auckland design language, we tailored a Hamilton-specific expression of the AJ Gallagher brand — one that feels both local and globally aligned. The result is a vibrant, future-ready workplace that enhances productivity, celebrates the river setting, and embodies the company’s enduring spirit of innovation and connection.
